Baler DIY Itinerary + budget list

Calling all surfistas out there! May you be a surfing enthusiast, or a surfer wannabe, this place should be on top of your list and here goes my itinerary when we visited Baler, plus the budgest list.

Day 0: Wednesday

11:45pm – Departure to Baler (via Genesis bus)

Day 1: Thursday

5:00am – Arrival in Baler; strolled; looked for accomm.
7:00am – Checked in at Desiree’s Lodge (review soon); rest
8:00am – Breakfast
9:00am – Rest
1:00pm – Lunch
2:30pm – Strolled; ATV; Photo op; surfing lesson
7:00pm – Dinner
9:00pm – Back to the room; lights off

Day 2: Friday

5:00am – Wake up time; prepped up
6:30am – Breakfast
8:00am – Tricycle tour (Ermita Hill, Tromba Marina, Diguisit beach & rock formation, Hanging Bridge, Museo de Baler, Doรฑa Aurora house)
12:00pm – Lunch at Gerry Shan’s
1:30pm – Cont. of tour (Balete tree, Ditumabo/Mother falls)
5:00pm – Back to Sabang; beach-ing
6:00pm – Back to the room; rest
7:30pm – Dinner
9:00pm – Back to the room; lights off

Day 4: Saturday

6:00am – Wake up time; prepped up
7:00am – Strolled; Surfing lesson; Photo op; ATV
10:00am – Back to the room; packed up
11:00am – Breakfast/Lunch
12:30pm – Checked out
1:00pm – Departure to Cabanatuan (via Genesis bus)
5:00pm – Arrival in Cabanatuan; Departure to Cubao (via ES Transport)
8:00pm – Arrival in Cubao


Buddies, this computation is for 1pax but i’ll include the original price/price when not divided per pax.
Note: OP = Original Price

450.00 – Cubao to Baler (via Genesis bus)
800.00 – Lodge for 2 nights at Desiree’s Lodge (OP: 2,400.00)
500.00 – ATV; discounted 1hr rate (OP: 600.00)
300.00 – surfing with instructor; 1hr rate
20.00 – Env. fee, Diguisit beach
30.00 – Env. fee, Museo de Baler & Dona Aurora House
10.00 – Env. fee, Balete park
30.00 – Env. fee, Ditumabo/Mother falls
300.00 – Tricycle tour (OP: 900.00)
247.00 – Baler to Cabanatuan (via Genesis bus)
185.00 – Cabanatuan to Cubao ( via ES Transport)
2872.00 – WITHOUT food

1,060.00 – foods
120.00 – pasalubong
4052.00 – TOTAL EXPENSES, with foods

*we did a cutting trip from Baler to Cabanatuan to Cubao since there’s no direct trip to Cubao anymore on our time of departure in Baler
*trip happened on the 3rd quarter of 2015 so prices may not be the same anymore

  1. Looks like a very beautiful sculpted coastline. I’m a beach lover but unfortunately I cant swim. Perhaps its because my parents hometown is in Aklan, the home of Boracay Island ๐Ÿ™‚


  2. A great suggestion for an itinerary. Personally I prefer to be spontaneous. I don’t really like to plan to much in advance. But when I’ll visit there I’ll be sure to check you list. Thanks for the great post!
